This has been the case for years, but public sentiment is turning in favor of a more restrictive alcohol legislation.

Have you ever heard about the EASTER Message in the Danish flag – allegedly the oldest flag in the world? 🇩🇰🇩🇰
About 800 years ago - the year 1219 - King Valdemar of Denmark 🤴 was greatly troubled and challenged.
Legend tells that the Danish king in his troubles had a dream, where he saw a cloth descend from heaven. The next day he created Dannebrog (Danish Cloth), lifted it high and displayed it in front of his men and they were victoriously blessed.
Danes love their flag and it can be seen in almost every corner and neighbourhood of Denmark at times of celebration.
The WHITE innocent cross is surrounded with the RED life-giving blood 🩸🩸 - as the centre-point for all humans to gaze upon.
The day Jesus died on the cross ✝️, was the day, where hate, darkness, and evil was overcome by God's complete and unconditional love, light, and grace.
The day where broken relationships were fully restored.
The day where lies and distance was replaced with truth and friendship.

Sadly there is a great breakdown in family structure in Denmark. And that comes with severe costs for persons and for society in general.
But with God all things are possible - therefore:
- Please PRAY for the families in Denmark – pray for harmony, peace, and a lot of joy.
- PRAY that couples will be determined to overcome difficulties and stay together.
- PRAY especially for children; a lot of Danish children are struggling with psychiatric issues as stress, anxiety and OCD – perhaps the break down in family structures is one of the main causes of that.

Right now, many Danish churches are busy preparing so called Christmas boxes which are given to families who otherwise couldn’t afford to celebrate a traditional Danish Christmas 🎄.
The boxes contain food and snacks for a Christmas dinner – and some of the boxes also come with 🎁 for the children.
- Please PRAY for the ⛪⛪ which are preparing these boxes – that everything will go smoothly.
- And PRAY for the families which receive the boxes that the Lord will bless and protect them and that they'll feel the box as a greeting from heaven 🥰.
Danish churches need more pastors.
- Please PRAY that the Lord will call labors to His harvest in Denmark.
- PRAY, that He’ll rise a new generation of pastors.
- PRAY that he’ll call, equip, and ignite them.
- PRAY for wisdom and strategy for the different denominations to recruit, educate, train and mentor new pastors.

A recent study showed that 44 percent of young people of age 16-25 have a high degree of failure to thrive. According to experts there are three explanations for that: Acceleration, pressure to perform and psychologization.
“In Denmark there is only one institution which can deliver a collected answer to these three serious problems, and that is the church” an article in a newspaper said.

- PRAY that many young men and women will start to seek God.
- PRAY that they’ll meet Christians who can tell them about Jesus – and his promise to give rest to the weary and burdened.

- Please PRAY that the peace of The Lord will fill the hearts of people who reach out to him – whether it’s in prayer, with a sigh, by going to church, reading the Bible or something else.
- PRAY for people attending churches – PRAY that they will find strength and new hope in God.

The role of fatherhood has gone through a transformation in Denmark the last couple of decades, and fathers are very engaged in their children's everyday life.
- PRAY for the fathers of Denmark.
- PRAY that they'll bring up their kids with wisdom, love, and compassion.
- PRAY especially for the Christian fathers that they must be able to show their kids the way to God and that they'll live lives full of authenticity and fear of God.
- PRAY that they'll reflect the heart of our heavenly father.
Like in many other countries prizes in Denmark are skyrocketing. Especially the price for electricity and natural gas – all because of the war in Ukraine.
This means many socially vulnerable can’t pay their bills.
- Please PRAY for socially vulnerable in Denmark this winter.
- PRAY that they will have food and varm clothes – and that they can afford to heat their houses and flats.
- PRAY also for Danish churches – that they’ll be able to bring hope and comfort to people in these uncertain times.

- PRAY that churches will be prepared to receive and help people who come to them for help.
- PRAY for peace and no war.
Please PRAY for a new – almost historical – initiative among Danish churches from different denominations. Together they will create an app which are designed to facilitate conversations about faith.
The idea is, that the app should be a tool for the individual believer as well as whole churches to reach out to colleagues, families, friends, neighborhood etc.
- PRAY for alle the preparations in the making of the app.
- PRAY for the test versions and PRAY for the production of videos and other materials to the app.
- PRAY for all the people involved.
- And PRAY for the funding of the project.

To wait for the Lord can be very frustrating. Often, we want the Lord to intervene or come with an answer here and now. But the Lord’s timetable is very different from ours, and we must be patient and trust in him to fulfill his plans in the exact right time.

- PRAY that spiritually hungry Danes will be drawn to churches like thirsty animals draw around a waterhole.

Both love and perseverance are needed to live the Christian life. Like a Roly-Poly doll never give up – when you’re knocked down, get up again.
And if you’re knocked down again, get up again. No matter how many times you get knocked down, get up again. And again. And again. Christ’s perseverance helps you to do that.
And remember – the Roly-Poly doll is always smiling. God’s love helps you to do that. When you know, you are loved, you can smile.

Tens of thousands of people will gather to the biggest political festival in Denmark called ”The people meeting” on June 16-19. MP's, media, NGOs, municipalities, ministries etc. will be there – and so will several churches and church NGOs in a tent called “Heaven and earth”.
- PRAY for the churches and the church NGOs – that God will bless their relations to politicians, media, other NGOs etc.
- PRAY for wisdom to the pastors and church leaders present.
- PRAY that new valuable contacts will be made.
- PRAY for the debates and other events in the “Heaven and earth”-tent.

Within the next 14 months the Danish PM Mette Frederiksen will have to call an election for the Danish parliament.
Before that all Danish MP’s will get an invitation to visit a church outside the national church (the so called free churches) – at the visit they will meet people who can tell about what the churches mean to people in the local community.
- Please PRAY for these visits.
- PRAY for openminded MPs without any hostility in their attitude.
- And PRAY that God will touch their hearts.

It’s spring in Denmark – and like everything is about to blossom and spring up in nature there is expectation in Danish churches that the kingdom of God is also about to blossom and spring up.
- THANK God for this spirit of hope.
- And PRAY that God will do a new thing and let His kingdom spring up in Denmark.
- PRAY also for streams in the wasteland – many churches feel very dry and hunger for the water of the Holy Spirit.
“See, I am doing a new thing!

- Please PRAY for Danish churches – that the Ukraine crisis will be a wakeup call which will make all lift their heads, bend their knees, and roll up their sleeves.
- PRAY that churches will be shaken in a way that sharpens them and make them more direct in many of the things they say and do.
- PRAY that the Holy Spirit will awaken the Danish churches, so the kingdom of God progresses and grows in the midst of this crisis.
- And PRAY that many people may come to God through this.

The war in Ukraine has caused more than 1 million people to leave their homes and seek protection in other countries. Thousands of them are expected to come to Denmark, and several Danish churches prepare to work together with local authorities to welcome and integrate Ukrainian refugees.
- Please PRAY for Danish churches preparing to receive thousands of Ukrainian refugees.
- PRAY for visdom, love and understanding - and PRAY for all practical obstacles to be overcomed.
- PRAY also for the refugees – that God will comfort them and fill their hearts with His peace.

We pray that you will remove fear and terror from people.
We pray for the elderly, the sick and the children – they are particularly vulnerable.
We pray for those who have had their homes smashed.
We pray for those fleeing their homeland.
We pray that acts of war and bloodshed will stop.
We pray for peace in Ukraine.
In the name of Jesus. Amen!”
